80's TV heaven - Anyone remember Sledge Hammer!
If you do, you probably also watched Police Squad, late friday nights on Channel 4 I seem to remember.

I used to love Sledge Hammer! Needs to be repeated.

Pancho and ohgodno

Brilliant telly, Russell Brand ripped him off years later with Wonderland or whatever it was called. You'd never get away with with it today. Very un PC, remember the My Son the Grass episode, funny as fuck

Bob Mills was a legend!

His World Cup TV programmes in the same vein were genius especially the Voller spit...

I think In Bed With Me Dinner was the most under-rated program on the telly.

David Raasche I think his name is/was?

Can't remember him inmuch else but I'm sure he was, can't be arsed to Google. Can't believe he topped Sledge Hammer though as a character.

Plus having the name 'Hammer' helped!

It was just so over the top, all those 'cop on the edge' shows, this just ripped the piss out of all of them.

Telly WAS so much better in the 80's. I remember watching Police Squad before the Naked Gun movies and raving about it, Sledge was probably better though.

We traded in Blackadder, The Young Ones, Filthy Rich & Catflap (which was BRILLIANT) for Miranda, Mrs Brown's Boys and Citizen Khan.

What a pile of bollocks.

p.s., if you haven't seen it or are too young, go and find Sledge Hammer!, must be out there somewhere

"There's so many little bits in each episode like when he slides along a newly painted wall while hiding from a gunman, he walks past the wall later and there's a sign saying SOLD!!"

FOMB, he gets about a bit. Did he have his lab with him back then?

Sledge hammer is brilliant, probably one of my favourite series ever, got them all on DVD!

The Elvis lookalike competition episode is crackingly good!

There's so many little bits in each episode like when he slides along a newly painted wall while hiding from a gunman, he walks past the wall later and there's a sign saying SOLD!!

Brilliant!
